Judge is the name given to all the live bear mascots at Baylor and their has been a live bear as their mascot since 1917, a businessman named Herbert E. Mayr won the first one in a poker game and donated him to Baylor University. Bruiser is the costumed mascot of the team and wears a variation of the teams uniform.
