The Battle of the Golden Egg (nicknamed the Egg Bowl)is when Ole Miss and in-state fellow SEC team Mississippi State Bulldogs battle it out. Arkansas is another rival which got heated when Arkansas hired Ole Miss' former head coach Houston Nutt. The winner of the LSU-Ole Miss match up known as the Magnolia Bowl now receives a trophy.
