2. Use 2 of the 2 x 4 that are 8’ long to saw them to make 4 pieces the same length. They should measure 36”x 11 ½”. The reason they need them this size because they need the riser added to tilt the board when it's finished.

3. Then the cornhole game plans say that you take each one of the 36” x 11 ½” boards and screw them on the platforms on the long sides. A gap of ½” needs to be left on the part that is going to be the top of the board.

4. Measure between the rails for the top and bottom rails on the platforms. You need an exact measurement. Saw the other 2 x 4s to that measurement. Attach those pieces on their edge using the deck screws through the sidepieces.

5. Now put the whole platform on the ground face up. You are going to be measuring for the cornhole at the top of the board. That end has no railing on it. The cornhole’s center is found by measuring 9 inches down from top and 12“ from each from the sides. This is the exact center of the cornhole. Use a compass to measure 6” circle using the center. After marking for the circle use the drill to drill a starter hole for the jig saw blade. Insert the blade and cut the circle out. Sand the edges of the hole until smooth with sandpaper.

6. The cornhole plans state that you then attach the 11 ½” x 24” boards to the others right above the cornhole. The board will fit in the ½” gap and you then screw them in, using the deck screws to the boards on the side.

7. According to the cornhole plans for cornhole board painting you can sand and paint the boards if you so choose. If the boards are going to be used outdoors, make sure the paint is outdoor paint. We also recommend you use a primer first. Have fun learning to build a cornhole set.
